Licensing notes: each source above is used under its own licence or access terms — some are open public datasets (including CC0 and CC BY 4.0 releases), some are rate-limited or free-tier public APIs, some are paid-per-search public registers, and one (WIPO Global Brand Database) permits manual search only, since automated querying is prohibited. This site never republishes more than the source's own terms allow.

Every observation stored in this system — whatever the source — keeps the same set of provenance fields, so figures can always be traced back to where and when they came from.

Refresh cadence
Update schedule
Update frequency follows each source's own publication cycle.
- Monthly — most Census & Statistics Department and World Bank series, refreshed as each new statistical release is published.
- Daily — foreign exchange reference rates, and any other series sourced from a daily-updated public API.
- Annual — publications such as the USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries, refreshed once a year on release.
- On request / manual — register and directory lookups such as company and trademark searches, which are looked up individually rather than refreshed on a schedule.
