Understand the price relationship
Lab-grown diamonds are generally reported at lower prices than natural diamonds of comparable size and grade, which is often the main practical reason clients consider them — ask a business to explain its own pricing logic rather than assuming a fixed rule.
Ask how a business discloses the distinction
A transparent seller discloses clearly whether a stone is natural or lab-grown at the point of sale and on any certificate. If this is not clear from a listing, it is a reasonable first question.
