What "website control confirmed" means

Control of the listed website has been checked using one of the methods below. It does not authenticate products or gemstones, and it is not an endorsement of quality.

How ownership is checked

Business-domain email confirmation
Establishes: Access to an email address on the business’s own domain.
Website meta tag or verification file
Establishes: Ability to modify the relevant website.
DNS TXT challenge
Establishes: Control over the relevant DNS configuration.
Manual evidence review
Establishes: Exception handling for legitimate cases that don’t fit the automated methods, such as shops that sell only through Instagram or marketplaces.

What verification does not mean

A domain-control badge does not mean Jewellery.HK has authenticated a business's products, gemstones or claims, or endorses its quality. It confirms one disclosed fact: that the business controls the website linked on its profile. Verification cannot be bought, and paid plans or sponsorship never add it.

Unclaimed and unverified listings

Some profiles are submitted by a business or compiled from public sources and have not completed verification. They are labelled as such throughout the directory. Unverified does not mean untrustworthy, and verified does not mean guaranteed, so check any vendor yourself before paying.

Ownership disputes

A conflicting claim over the same listing creates a dispute case for human review. It does not transfer control to the latest applicant. Contact us if you believe a listing is incorrectly claimed. To claim your own listing, start at claim your listing.
